Calling women entrepreneurs

The Robin Hood Foundation is looking for entrepreneurs who would like to attend its Entrepreneurs 4 Africa conference or corporates that would like to sponsor towards the event.

THE Robin Hood Foundation’s Entrepreneurs 4 Africa 2016 conference will run on 12 and 13 July at Cityhill Church, Hillcrest.

Known for their continued community outreach projects such as Love the Babies, Gogo bags, Bless-a-Granny and HOPE, The Robin Hood Foundation’s founder and chairlady, Cindy Norcott, also has a passion for education in communities.

The Robin Hood Foundation previously hosted a free three day entrepreneurial conference for more than 300 previously disadvantaged existing and aspirant entrepreneurs, which was followed up with a five month free mentorship process. This conference equipped the delegates with basic business skills, exposed them to various business opportunities and they were inspired by several rags to riches stories.

This year, The Robin Hood Foundation will host another entrepreneurial conference for aspirant and existing entrepreneurs, and aims to equip more than 500 entrepreneurs with knowledge, skills and advice in a two day, jam-packed event.

“It is our belief that many people in South Africa would make successful entrepreneurs if they had more knowledge, skills, a bigger network and access to more opportunities. This conference aims to cover that and we have a group of successful entrepreneurs and business leaders lined up to share their skills and advice with the delegates, to expose them to some great business minds, ideas and networks that they would not have otherwise had access to. This will enable delegates to go forward with their business ventures and put them into action and start or grow their businesses,” said Cindy.

Delegates will be given manuals, refreshments and there will be lucky draw prizes each day.

The conference is open to 600 successful delegates, aged 18 and up, who are entrepreneurs or aspirant entrepreneurs from previously disadvantaged communities.

If you are a corporate andwould like to sponsor towards the event or a member of the community that would like to apply to attend the conference, contact Kim Griffith Jones, co-ordinator, on robinhoodfund@telkomsa.net for more information.
