WOMEN in and around Glenwood are being urged to come forward with any information regarding a flasher who has been exposing himself to women in the area.
Heather Rorick from Bulwer Community Safety Forum has appealed to anyone who has seen the man to contact her, to provide a description of the man. Rorick said she had received five recent reports about the man exposing himself to visitors to Bulwer Park, including elderly women. He was also seen sitting in the park masturbating. According to Rorick, the man appears during fitness classes at the outdoor gym or when mothers are waiting in the park before picking up or dropping off their children at school
“The fact that the man has picked a park that is used a lot by women for exercising is quiet scary as this shows that this is a very disturbed person. Who knows what else he is capable of doing. He must be caught and arrested,” she said.
Rorick said a few months ago there were reports of a flasher operating in the Davenport area who was described as having short dreadlocks and she was trying to establish if this was the same person again.
“I cannot seem to be able to get anyone to come forward with details and a description to help us at least catch him and put a stop to his flashing. It is quite a serious matter as it is not safe to have someone like that around,” she said.
She urged anyone who sees the man to contact the police. If you have any information on the identity of this man, contact Heather on 074 203 2792.
