POINT police detectives conducted a successful crime combating operation last week, which culminated in the arrest of six suspects involved in common robberies and theft.
Captain Simelane, communications officer at Point SAPS said, “One suspect had been on the run for approximately one-and-a-half years and was wanted for various offences including two cases of contempt of court.”
Simelane added that Point SAPS detectives had achieved successful convictions for robberies of cellphones, laptops and other serious matters within the Point area. “A total of 51 years imprisonment on various suspects was imposed,” he added.
