12 injured in CBD crash

Twelve people were injured a collision in the CBD on Wednesday afternoon.

TWELVE Twelve people were injured after a taxi and a SUV collided in the junction of Leopald and Russel Street in Durban’s city centre just on Wednesday afternoon.

Rescue Care’s Garrith Jamieson said paramedics arrived on the scene to find that the taxi and a SUV had collided in the junction. “A total of twelve people including four young children had all sustained minor injuries and were stabilised on scene before being transported to a nearby hospital for the further care,” he said.

Jamieson added it was unclear what caused the collision, at this stage, however Metro Police were in attendance and will be investigating further.
