Enjoy horse and wine festival

The Horse and Wine Festival will be at the Shongweni Club on 9 July.

ENJOY a taste of wine and all things equine at the Horse and Wine Festival at the Shongweni Club on 9 July from 10am to 10pm.

This premium country fair, presented by Land Rover Durban, will have a range of equestrian activities performed by some of Shongweni’s top riders, top quality wines available for tasting and purchasing, as well as a variety of family-friendly activities, entertainment and stalls.

There will be a number of exhibitions as well as demonstrations including the Musical Kur Dressage display performed to the Crawford North Coast philharmonic orchestra, an impressive equestrian high jump competition as well as a polocrosse display by the Shongweni Polocrosse Club.

In addition to the equestrian delights, animal lovers will be kept enthralled with some top-level canine demonstrations by the K9 Police Dog Unit and a number of outdoor activities on offer are sure to keep all ages engaged. For the children, there will be a safe playtime area to keep them occupied as well as jumping castles, a tractor and pony rides.

Quality music, food and drink – including wine, craft beer and cocktails – will be available throughout the day. There will also be a number of stalls displaying and selling some of the province’s best in hand-made clothing, jewellery, beauty and healthcare products, home décor, arts and crafts, among many others, all suited to a variety of tastes and styles.

Entrance is R50 for adults, R20 for children under 12 years and R125 for a family package (two adults and two children under 12 years).
