Enter crazy hat fun walk
Child Welfare Durban and District's Crazy Hats Fun Walk will be at the beachfront on Saturday.
ENJOY a fun-filled morning at Child Welfare Durban and District’s Crazy Hats fun walk on Saturday 9 July at 9am.
The walk sets off from the amphitheatre at North Beach with registration from 7.30am to Suncoast and back, a distance of 5km.
“We want this event to be crazy, fun and playful, creating the impression of innocence and joy through this fun theme,” said Irene Okoye, Income Development Manager.
Irene said the Welfare’s Ambassador, Mo Magic, will be attending the event and will address the walkers before the start of the walk.
“People are encouraged to come along to meet and greet Mo Magic, and to enjoy a fun day with us,” she said.
To date 400 tickets have been sold and there will be tickets for sale on the day.
“This is one of the many initiatives hosted by Child Welfare, and I encourage people to use this event as a way to contribute to the organisation, and be part of the activity. Come be a part of this enjoyable morning at the beachfront, one of our local treasures – this could be one of your contributions to Mandela Day. Every step you take at the event is helping the organisation give childhood back to children,” said Mo Magic.
Alongside the walk, there will be activities for the children including a jumping castle, magic show, face painting, a bubble machine and games like musical chairs.
Cost is R50 for adults, R30 for pensioners and R25 for children under 18. To enter, visit www.cwdd.org.za
