Local centres support Mandela Day initiative
Donate items at Musgrave and Davenport Square for Mandela Day.
MUSGRAVE Centre, Davenport Square and Springfield Value Centre will get actively involved in a group community initiative by running a campaign for Mandela Day, partnering with Adopt-a-School Foundation for the initiative.
Adopt-a-School Foundation is a non-profit organisation that supports the creation and enhancement of a conducive learning and teaching environments in disadvantaged schools. The school that will benefit from the collection is Maphumzana Primary School – based in Umlazi the school supports over 700 learners.
Each centre will focus on driving a particular item, but will accept any donations towards the school. Musgrave will be collecting books, Davenport Square will be collecting toys and Springfield Value Centre will collect blankets.
Participate in this cause and drop off your donations on 9, 10, 16 and 17 July at Davenport Square and Springfield Value Centre and 7 to 18 July at Musgrave Centre.
