What's on in and around Durban this week.

THE Garden and Houseplant Club meets on Saturday, 16 July at the Musgrave Methodist Church Hall, (entrance in St Thomas’ Road) at 2.15pm.

There will be a talk and slide presentation: What’s what with weeds by the chairlady, and a tasty tea.

Cost is R15 for members and R20 for visitors.

THE South African Writers’ Circle will meet on Saturday, 16 June at the Westville Library (Room G4) at 11am.

Fred Felton, Internet and social media specialist, will be the guest speaker with a talk entitled Writers and the Internet.

An interactive session will follow. A book auction will be held as usual. Visitors are very welcome. Take a plate of eats to share.

BIRDLIFE Port Natal will visit Oribi Reserve on Sunday, 17 July at 7.30am.

LIVING beyond suicide, suffering from depression or other mental ailments. SOLOS-is a support group that meets once a month offering a non-judgmental safe environment to you, to share your feelings or just listen.

The next meeting is on Monday, 18 July at 171 Bulwer Road Glenwood at 6pm.

ON Wednesday, 20 July, Birdlife Port Natal will visit CROW at 8.30am, to observe work done by the organisation.
