Durban Pride brightens up Durban beachfront

The LGBTI community took to OR Tambo Parade in the Durban Pride Liberation March today, 23 July.

THE Durban Pride liberation march brought rainbow colours to the Durban beachfront on 23 July, as the LGBTI community took to OR Tambo Parade and the promenade.

Durban Pride took place alongside the International Aids Conference this year, with Durban Pride Week running from Monday 18 to Sunday 24 July, moved from its usual June date to coincide with the global event in Durban.

Following the march (on Saturday), participants were treated to a host of LGBTI talent at the Amphitheatre on North Beach. There was also an opportunity for people to write and share messages of support for survivors of hate crimes, including the victims of the Orlando massacre.
