Earth tremor rattles Durban
Did you feel the tremor which rattled Durban earlier this evening?
A SMALL earth tremor rattled KZN earlier this evening. Social media platforms, Twitter and Facebook were abuzz as people went online to share their experiences and confirm they had indeed felt the earth move!
People reported feeling the tremor in Glenwood, Sydenham, Berea, Pietermaritzburg, Richmond, Illovo Beach and Pinetown.
Patients in a Durban hospital said they felt their beds shaking, while others reported rattling doors and swaying lights in high rise buildings.
This is the second light tremor to shake Durban after a tremor measuring around 3 on the Richter scale shook Durban in February this year.
