Metro officers visit cancer patients

Metro Police officers visited CANSA recently to entertain the patients with music and song.

METRO officers Capt Peter Keogh and Insp Jacques Fourie recently visited CANSA’s Mkhuhla Home to entertain patients.

Capt Keogh spoke to residents about safety and entertained them with singing and jokes.

This was a very sad event for Insp Fourie, as his police outreach dog, Fancy, who would usually have been at the event to entertain guests, had been diagnosed with and since died of cancer.

Linda Cipolla from CANSA said she had been invited to speak at events hosted by Capt Keogh in the past, and this was his way of thanking her.

The residents of Mkhuhla Home enjoyed the event, which was followed by a lunch.
