Police appeal for help finding parents of lost boy

Umbilo police appeal to the community to help identify a boy who was found in the area earlier this week, or his parents.

UMBILO police are appealing to the community to assist them in finding the parents of a boy who was found in the area on Wednesday.

According to Captain Pumzile Makaula, the boy, who is about 8 years old, was brought into the station by a community member who found him in Grosvenor Road, Umbilo.

“Police officers tried to speak to the child, however he did not respond to anything so we were unable to establish where the boy has come from. He was wearing a blue shirt and green shorts. He is now in a place of safety but we would like the community to come forward if they know the boy or his parents,” added Makaula.

Contact Umbilo police with any information about the child on 031 2032412.
