
A man is fighting for his life after he was stabbed after a crash on the N3 freeway last night.
According to Garrith Jamieson, operations manager for Rescue Care Paramedics, the man, believed to be in his twenties, is in a critical condition. The incident took place on Sunday around 9.30pm. “Paramedics were called to a car accident on the N3 West bound near Spaghetti Junction.They found a vehicle had left the N3 and plunged down the embankment colliding with a pillar. The passenger, in his twenties, had sustained critical injuries as a result of a stabbing as well as the collision,” he explained.
Advanced life support paramedics worked to stabilise the man on the scene before rushing him through to a nearby hospital.
Jamieson said the events leading up to both the stabbing incident as well as the car crash was unknown however SAPS were on the scene and are investigating further.
