Good conviction for Umbilo SAPS

Crime fighting stakeholders joined Umbilo SAPS in the fight against criminals with combined stop and searches this week.

UMBILO police held a joint operation with Metro Police, the Umbilo Business Forum, ADT and Blue Security this week.

According to Captain Pumzile Makaula, the initiative was to join hands with the crime fighting partners and “increase police visibility.”

“Teams patrolled, and conducted stop and searches in the area,” she said.

Umbilo SAPS station commander, Colonel Gerald Mkhize said, “We appreciate all the support given to the SAPS from all the organisations that participated and are joining us in our fight against crime. We hope to continue and strengthen this relationship,” he added.
