Birthday surprise for Jenna
Paramedics put the smile on a young girl's face as they wish her 'happy birthday' in their own special way.
JENNA Henley had a very special birthday on Thursday, when she was surprised at school by Netcare 911 paramedics.
According to Chris Botha from Netcare 911, after receiving a call to help make the day of the Livingstone Primary School pupil, they did not need a second invitation to jump into action.
“It was Jenna’s birthday but sadly her daddy is in the Congo and could not even contact her. As she loves lights and sirens we had a request to go to her school and send her birthday wishes from her daddy. We arranged with her mom to meet her at the school but this was done so that Jenna had no idea,” said Botha.
He said after Jenna left the school grounds to meet her mom, a convoy of paramedics went racing down the road with lights and sirens.
“The flabbergasted girl was speechless! We will never forget the look on her face when her mom told her that all this was for her,” he said.
Paramedics climbed out their vehicles and surprised her further with birthday gifts and special wishes.
“This was by far a memory that was so special that makes you forget all the hard and sad times,” said Botha.
