Register for municipal fair
Register now for the Essence Festival and Business Fair.

REGISTRATION for the Durban Business Fair 2016 and the Essence Festival is now underway.
The fair, which will take place from 11 to 13 November at the Durban Exhibition Centre, will run simultaneously with the Essence Festival.
Themed Passion, Inspiration and Powe’, the festival will take place from 8 to 13 November, with a number of activities ranging from conferences, seminars and entertainment. At the seminars, businesses will get advice from prominent business experts while mingling with artists and media personalities from several sectors.
Mayor Zandile Gumede said it was an honour for the City to host the first African event of the festival. “This is an invaluable opportunity for our local businesses and artists to get global recognition,” she said.
Gumede added that the City expected about 60 000 delegates from across the globe.
Meanwhile, Gumede said the fair was an ideal platform to stimulate business growth and motivate aspiring entrepreneurs. “The fair offers a wealth of opportunity, advice and information crucial for on-going business growth and skills,” she said.
Gumede said hosting such events would boost Durban’s image and attract global tourists and investors to the city. She urged all businesses to take advantage of the opportunity and register as early as possible to allow for proper planning.
Businesses that wish to showcase at the Essence Festival and the Durban Business Fair are encouraged to register before the 14 October closing date.
