Florida Road in the pink
Florida Road has 'turned pink' to commemorate Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
FLORIDA Road has taken on a pink hue and it’s all in support of the Pink Trees For Pauline Campaign and Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Florida Road UIP has wrapped 70 trees along Florida Road in pink fabric in support of the initiative that hopes to raise awareness for cancer.
“With support from local property owners, businesses and residents, we’ve been able to sponsor 70 trees along Florida Road which the UIP started wrapping early this week. We are extremely proud to be turning the road pink and hope the project can be repeated,” said Jarrod Evans, precinct manager.
The Florida Road UIP thanked all those who contributed towards this special cause who together raised R7 200 for CANSA, and also the Parks Department for supporting the initiative on Florida Road.
