Much-needed donation by Sheet Street

Girls at Wylie House were given brand new bedding, thanks to Sheet Street.

GIRLS at Wylie House in Musgrave were treated to the gift of brand new linen, thanks to a donation by Sheet Street on Friday.

Principal of Wylie House, Nazli Finch, said she was very grateful, as the donation happened very quickly, after calling Debbie Atkinson from Mr Price head office.

“We were given a donation in 2013, and Debbie was therefore asked to come through and inspect. We have a lot of wear and tear, and she agreed the new bedding was needed,” she said.

Debbie approached Sheet Street, who donated fitted sheets, duvets and duvet covers for 40 beds at the home.

“We're very excited by the donation! It's all coming at the right time as we had a small-scale renovation thanks to Old Mutual where we were able to buy new beds and small appliances. The place is looking good and it boosts the self-esteem of the girls as everything is looking pretty,” said Nazli.

She said Mr Price had also donated winter clothes to the girls recently, so they were looking great. “All we need is new cupboards now, but we are working on that,” she said.
