Beauty and Style Expo showcases African designers
A Beauty and Style Expo was held as part of the Essence Festival this weekend.
THE Beauty and Style Expo hosted by eThekwini Municipality and other stakeholders at the Essence Festival at weekend was a hive of activity for all fashion and beauty enthusiasts..
The expo delivered a number of panel discussions by high profile speakers over the three days. Topics ranged from branding in the fashion industry to current and season trends and colours for both men’s and women’s fashion.
Apart from the highly successful beauty demonstrations, the highlight over the three days was the daily fashion activations showcasing local and African guest designers creations. There was even a surprise visit from Beyonce’s mother, Tina Knowles-Lawson, who popped into the Durban Fashion Fair Beauty and Style exhibition and interacted with the designers who exhibited at the show.
