Local funny men perform

Don't miss #Durbs Comedy Night at Garden Court Hotel this week.

The second #Durbs Comedy Night on 23 December at Garden Court Hotel, Marine Parade, features some of the finest funny men Durban has to offer.

Sagie Murugan, Neil Green, Carvin H Goldstone, Troy Tesla and newcomers Matt Armstrong and Daryl Williams are all set for the event.

Sagie Murugan is no stranger to the funny stage, having cracked the comedy scene for a number of years now. Sagie is revered for razor sharp comedy wit and suave stage presence.

Neil Green‘s edgy, sometimes controversial comedy, has seen him share the stage with most of the country’s top acts, performing at premier venues throughout SA, including at the Lyric Theatre, Emperors Palace, Parkers Comedy and Goliath Comedy Club. With three sold out one man shows since 2011, international tours and multiple awards, Carvin H Goldstone has earned respect across South Africa’s comedy community.

Troy Tesla is a name you’re certainly going to want to keep an eye out for. The Durban-based MC, stand-up comedian and sit-down law academic has for years veered audiences of all descent into an absurd comfort of laughter at the backdrop of the pains of living in the era of the Trump-Mugabe-Zuma joke. Tesla has awed audiences with some of the biggest names in the country including Kagiso Lediga, Marc Lottering, Loyiso Gola and Carvin H Goldstone’s Best of Tour in 2016. He is currently a producer at Durban’s Next Comedy Generation gig and is currently developing a TV Show.

The show starts at 8pm. Tickets are R150. Book through Quiket.co.za or reserve seats via 083 291 5702.
