Man seriously injured in Musgrave crash

Four people were injured in a partial head on collision on Saturday afternoon.

A MAN was seriously injured after two vehicles collided on Musgrave Road on Saturday afternoon.

Garrith Jamieson from Rescue Care said: “One of the drivers was severely entrapped and had sustained serious injuries.”

“Advanced life support paramedics worked to stabilise the man in the vehicle while the Durban Fire Department used the Jaws of Life to cut him free. Once freed the man was transported to a nearby hospital for further care.”

Three other occupants were also injured and stabilised on scene before being transported by Rescue Care to nearby hospitals.

“It is alleged that one of the vehicles crossed over the lane and collided with the second vehicle. Berea SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further,” said Jamieson.
