Strong police presence at Sastri College as singing crowds arrive
The ANCYL leadership has appealed to its members to be tolerant.

THERE is a strong police presence at Sastri College where crowds of singing and dancing ANC Youth League members have arrived at a memorial service for ANC icon Amed Kathrada.
According to our reporter at the scene, marshalls have been instructed not to let people in as the hall is full and crowds are being diverted to a large tent that has been erected on the grounds.
Pravin Gordhan, wearing an ANC T-shirt has arrived with ANC Provincial chairperson, Sihle Zikalala. Zikala and Dr Zweli Mkhize are due to speak at the memorial service this afternoon.
Organisers of the event, the Active Citizens Group was granted a court interdict on Friday night against the ANCYL which stipulated the ANCYL could attend the event but had to ensure its members behaved
