Durban Central Station commander calls it quits after 37 years

"We wish him well to his new journey. Thank you Brigadier for being a great leader."

FOLLOWING his 37 years of unbroken service in the South African Police Services (SAPS), Durban Central Station Commander, Brigadier V. Stokes finally called it quits on Friday. The eThekwini Central cluster management organised a farewell event to wish their commander well on his new journey. The event took place at Durban Central police station.

Ethekwini Central Cluster Commander Major General Mkhize and the Provincial head Legal service General Mekute, were also present at the event. Both thanked the outgoing station Commander for his loyalty.

Durban Central Police Station’s communication officer, Captain Khephu Ndlovu said: “We wish him well to his new journey. Thank you Brigadier for being a great leader.”
