DURBAN Central police are appealing to the community to assist with a case of child abandonment they are investigating.
According to Const Zanele Khomo from Durban Central, it is alleged that last year on 13 August at about 7am, a child was admitted at Addington Hospital.
“It has been established and verified that the address that was given by the parent is invalid and it is impossible to trace the parent or relatives of the child,” she said.
Khomo said the child is a male aged around two years, and is known as Lwandle Msiya. She said the mother is believed to be around the central business district in Durban.
