Girls’ school donates to CANSA

CANSA TLC supports children and teens diagnosed with or affected by cancer, as no child should have to face cancer on their own.

FOR their annual 67 Acts of Kindness Mandela Day initiative, Gordon Road Girls’ School chose CANSA’s Tough Living with Cancer (CANSA TLC) programme as their recipient for 2020.

CANSA TLC supports children and teens diagnosed with or affected by cancer, as no child should have to face cancer on their own.

The initiative was well received and supported by the girls, parents and staff of Gordon Road Girls’ School whose combined efforts helped to raise the set target.

A cheque for R6 700 was handed over to Joan Deare from CANSA TLC last month.

Joan is a regular visitor to Gordon Road Girls’ School and volunteers her time by counselling our girls who are in need of support.

Gordon Road Girls’ School understands that Covid-19 has left many non-profit organisations financially stretched and wanted to give back to this worthy organisation which impacts the lives of affected children and their families.
