Post now available from international countries as restrictions ease
The Post Office has introduced an electronic customs declaration form on its website.

MAIL can now be sent and received from some overseas countries previously not available under Covid-19 restrictions.
This was announced in a statement by the South African Post Office.
“The mail service has become available to and from more countries after international lockdown restrictions were eased,” read the statement.
Customers can now send and receive items from the following countries: Argentina, Austria, Botswana, Brazil, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, Eswatini, France, Great Britain, Greece, Germany (surface mail only – ships, no air connection), India, Ireland (Northern), Israel, Italy, Japan, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia Scotland, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, UAE, Ukraine, USA and Wales.

While post is available from these countries, the delivery time may be delayed.
“International transport connections are not running optimally owing to reduced flights, and therefore the delivery time for international items is longer than normal,” read the statement.
The Post Office has introduced an electronic customs declaration form on its website for customs clearance of incoming and outgoing parcels. The form can be found under the tools section on the website www.postoffice.co.za.
