AN alleged hostage situation is unfolding at a popular fast-food restaurant on Berea Road.

According to ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson, one suspect has reportedly taken three people hostage at the establishment, and negotiations are underway.

Unconfirmed reports have alleged that the suspect is armed with a knife.

Jamieson confirmed that as of 14:12 on Tuesday, there had been no reports of injuries, however, he added, “Paramedics remain on standby.”
