Man found in possession of drugs worth R1.3 million

A JOINT police operation of the Provincial Organised Crime and Provincial Drug and Firearm units has resulted in the arrest of a 50-year-old man in connection with drug dealing on Tuesday (March 19).

According to the South African Police Service (SAPS), they executed a search warrant at an estate in uMhlanga and Somerset Park, but further investigations led them to an apartment in Durban Central, on Dr Pixley kaSeme Street.
The man was found in possession of drugs, drug capsules, cocaine, cocaine powder, heroin and rock cocaine, at an estimated value of R1.3 million, according to the SAPS.
The suspect is expected to appear before the Durban Magistrate’s Court today (March 20).
