Durban July theme revealed

Hollywood Foundation has revealed this year's Durban July theme with an extravagant mural done by Durban artist, in Sandton's busiest road, depicting the true meaning of glamour and sportsmanship behind Africa's biggest horse-racing event,

DURBAN will be riding the wave this July as Hollywoodbets unveils their 2024 Durban July theme of ‘Riding the wave’. Hollywoodbets is the home of Africa’s most extravagant horse-racing event, the Durban July, which has, over the years, grabbed the attention of spectators from all over the country.

The theme was launched with an unveiling of a 30m-wide mural on one of the busiest roads in Sandton. The mural was done by Durban-based artist Shaun Oakley, who goes by the name of Damn Vandal, and depicts the true essence of the glamour and competitiveness of the Durban July. The 2024 Durban July will take place on Saturday, July 6, at the Hollywoodbets Greyville Racecourse.

Hollywoodbets brand and communications manager Devin Heffer said, “We are proud to be partnering with Africa’s greatest horse-racing event once again, and we believe the coastal city of Durban, with its gorgeous Golden Mile, will provide the ideal backdrop for this year’s theme of ‘Riding the wave’. ”

According to Hollywoodbets, the Durban July tickets will be on sale in April on the Ticketpro website.
