Woman fatally shot at petrol station in Sydenham

Paramedics responded to the scene of a fatal shooting incident in Sydenham this morning where a woman reportedly sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

ALS PARAMEDICS has reported a fatal shooting incident that occurred on Tuesday, just after 07:30, at a petrol station on O’Flaherty Road in the Sydenham area, Durban.

Garreth Jamieson of ALS said, “Paramedics arrived on the scene to find that a female, believed to be in her thirties, had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to her upper body and, unfortunately, she had already passed away. She was declared deceased on the scene by paramedics.”

At this stage, the motive leading up to the shooting is unknown, however, SAPS were in attendance and will be investigating further.
