Wear a flower crown and host a party this Garden Day

Garden Day is celebrated on October 20, and to celebrate this day, plant people are called to host a Garden Day party in their gardens. Below are 10 ways to celebrate this day.

“SPENDING time in the garden with my children is one of my greatest joys. It’s not just about planting seeds; it’s about nurturing our bond and watching them discover the wonders of nature,” says Hillcrest resident Tanya Meijsing.

With Garden Day celebrated on October 20, Meijsang said each flower a person tends to and each insect they observe is a lesson in patience and beauty.

“I hope everyone takes a moment this Garden Day to celebrate the magic of our gardens and the precious moments we share with our family and friends in these spaces!”

Garden Day is an annual day of celebration by all South Africans in honour of gardens and green spaces. It’s a day to celebrate our hard work and the joy gardens bring to our communities and lives with a fun garden party!
