Fashion in the Park makes stylish debut on Florida Road
Fashion in the Park wowed crowds with a catwalk featuring models of all ages, sizes and backgrounds while showcasing Durban's top designers.
IN keeping line with the Hollywoodbets Durban July weekend festivities, Gordon Road Park was transformed into a vibrant runway as Fashion in the Park made its debut on Florida Road on Sunday.
The colourful event celebrating local fashion, creativity, and community, attracted one of the biggest crowds seen at a Florida Road event. Florida Road UIP PR and Marketing Manager Jessie Shane said the was afternoon was filled with energy as designers showcased an incredible collection of garments
“From elegant couture and contemporary fashion to bold, creative pieces that had the audience captivated from start to finish. The quality of the designs on display was exceptional, highlighting the incredible talent within Durban’s local fashion industry.”
Shane said one of the highlights of the event was the diversity seen on the runway.

“Models of all ages, sizes and backgrounds confidently took to the catwalk, with beautiful representation that included plus-size models, making the show both inspiring and inclusive,” said Shane.
The hosting of Fashion in the Park coincide with the Florida Road Market allowing visitors the opportunity to browse a fantastic selection of market stalls offering handcrafted jewellery, stylish handbags, unique gifts, delicious food and much more.
“The bustling market created the perfect atmosphere for families and friends to spend the day enjoying everything Florida Road has to offer,” said Shane.
She added, “A huge thank you goes to all of the designers, models, vendors, performers, organisers and everyone who attended. Your support made this one of our most successful events to date, and we look forward to bringing even more exciting experiences to Florida Road in the months ahead.”
