In another incident, on December 1, at about 20:30, two women were robbed, and then raped.

“A woman was at a salon on Russell Street. While she and her cousin were waiting for an e-hailing taxi, they were robbed of their clothing, cash and cellphones,” said Khomo.

“An argument ensued, and the driver of the taxi drove to an unknown place where he raped both females and abandoned them there,” said Khomo.
