Man left fighting for his life after gruesome assault

A man was found in Windermere Road by paramedics, after being stabbed multiple times, and is fighting for his life in hospital following an assault.

IN the early hours of this morning, a man was found on Windermere Road in a state of cardiac arrest after being stabbed multiple times.

According to Emer-G-Med spokesperson Kyle Van Reenen, just after midnight on Sunday morning, Emer-G-Med paramedics, together with Netcare911, responded to the scene of an assault on Windermere Road in Durban.

“On arrival on scene, a male patient was found with multiple stab wounds and in a state of cardiac arrest. Advanced life-support CPR resuscitation efforts were successful, and the man was rushed to a nearby hospital for further definitive care,” said Van Reenen.

The spokesperson said the facts surrounding the incident and the events preceding it are unclear and will form the subject of a South African Police Services investigation.
