Dead body found in Overport

A deceased man’s body with multiple lacerations was found in the early hours of Thursday morning when DRK Tactical responded to the scene in Overport.

IN the early hours of this morning, the DRK Tactical Control Room received information that a man’s body was lying on the side of the road in Overport, and they responded immediately.

According to DRK Tactical spokesperson Cait Hagerman, the DRK Tactical units, together with the DRK Medical Emergency Services, arrived at the scene and found the body.

“Our DRK EMS assessed the body and reported that the body had multiple lacerations. The cause of death is unknown at this stage, and our DRK EMS had to do the declaration of death,” said Hagerman.

The scene was handed over to SAPS for further investigation.
