Multiple people injured in morning taxi crash

Around 07:30 this morning, multiple people were injured after a taxi T-boned another vehicle on the corner of JB Marks Road and Alan Paton Avenue in Berea.

THIS morning, ALS Paramedics were called to a taxi crash on the corner of JB Marks Road and Alan Paton Avenue in Berea.

According to ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson, the incident occurred at 07:30 this morning. “Paramedics arrived on scene to find the two badly damaged vehicles in the roadway. A taxi had T-boned a vehicle. A triage was set up, and it was found that five people had sustained various injuries ranging from minor to moderate,” said Jamieson.

Jamieson said that once the patients were stabilised on the scene, they were transported to various Durban hospitals for the further care that they required.

“At this stage, the events leading up to the crash are unknown, however, SAPS will be investigating,” said Jamieson.
