Sew group seeks volunteer

Help is needed at the Cato Manor sewing group.

THE Cato Manor sewing group needs your help.

Founder of the group, Moireen Stacey, is desperately looking for a volunteer to help with making tea and lending a hand with basic sewing jobs. The person does not need much experience, just the basic sewing knowledge. Moireen has run the group for 20 years and has decided to now needs the help of a volunteer to ease the load.

“I just need someone to come and just be helpful! I have up to 10 sewers at a time and I can’t do it all by myself,” she said.

The sewers pay R5 a month and Moireen provides equipment and material for them to make their items.

“I would appreciate cash donations to help with servicing machines as well,” she said.

The group meets every Thursday at the Cato Manor clinic from 1pm to 3.30pm.

If you are interested in helping, contact Moireen on 031 573 1695. There is an answering machine.
