Resident donates beanies to Urban Ruins

A Sunward Park resident’s generous beanie donation warms hearts at the Urban Ruins NPO.

A Sunward Park resident, who wished to remain anonymous, recently made a significant donation of 60 hand-knitted beanies to the Urban Ruins NPO.

The donor said she has been honing her knitting skills for years and has a passion for giving back to the community through her craft.

“I knitted the beanies myself, and this year, I chose to donate to the NPO after learning about their early development centre and the need for warm winter accessories.”

Clayton Viljoen, the Urban Ruins founder, expressed gratitude for the donation, emphasising its impact on the individuals the organisation supports.

“We are grateful for the generosity. The beanies will provide warmth and a sense of care and compassion to those we serve,” said Viljoen.
