Ekurhuleni U18s show fighting spirit despite Tuks defeat

While the result did not go Ekurhuleni's way, the young players displayed commitment, teamwork and perseverance against strong opposition.

The Ekurhuleni U19B team girls put up a determined fight against Tuks during the finals of the Telkom Netball Tournament at Hoërskool Dr EG Jansen on July 10, refusing to back down despite a difficult start.

Although they lost 43-29, the team showed resilience by improving their performance in the second half.
Tuks established an early lead, taking a 22-13 advantage at halftime after capitalising on their opportunities in attack and maintaining a solid defence.

Ekurhuleni returned after the break with renewed energy, working hard to reduce the deficit through improved ball movement and determined defending.

The team showed great character throughout the third half, refusing to let the scoreboard dictate their effort.

Despite their determination, Tuks maintained control of the match and secured a 43-29 victory.

The match highlighted the talent and potential within the Ekurhuleni U19 squad as they continue to gain valuable experience competing at a high level in the Telkom Netball Tournament.
