WATCH: Boksburg Advertiser’s car boot sale offers loads of bargains

You don't want to miss out on the next instalment to be held on March 4.

The Boksburg Advertiser’s first 2023 car boot sale proved to be a success, with loads of bargains on offer.

The event, held on February 4 at Bokkie Park, saw a good turnout of vendors and supporters who came to look at the good bargains on sale.

There were dozens of stalls with a whole range of previously loved general items for sale, including linen, clothing, kitchen appliances, tools, garden equipment, paintings, tools, kitchenware, books and toys.
The craft market again offered all sorts of handmade crafts, food and refreshments, and supporters enjoyed a live music performance.

Vendors were excited to have another opportunity to sell their wares, and those interviewed described the event as a blast.

One of the vendors, 83-year-old Fran Botes of Kensington, said for her the latest event was much better that the previous event and she is looking forward to many more upcoming car boot sale events.
“You know, apart from selling our goods here, this event also provides us the opportunity to meet and interact with people.”

Meanwhile, Marius van Zyl of Boksburg North, who has been part of the monthly events for almost a year, said: “Today was great and business is very good. Thank you for providing us with this opportunity.”
Herman Delport and Ron Meiring said: “Business was good and we are coming back.”

Claire Humphries and Zalita Laas of Benoni said the turnout was good and business was to some degree good, considering that it’s the first event when people are still recovering from paying for school fees and uniforms.

Craig Frost, who has been with the car boot sale since the second month after its birth (four years ago), said it was awesome and is looking forward to the upcoming monthly events.
First-time vendor at the car boot sale, Henry Prinsloo, said he enjoyed it and will be back next month.
