Enter poster competition to support Animal Anti-Cruelty League
Primary school learners are invited to show their support for the Animal Anti-Cruelty League (AACL) Annual Primary School Poster Competition.
To enter, learners have to create posters depicting ways in which people show compassion and kindness to animals, care for them and contribute to improving animals’ lives in positive ways.
A poster is a picture with a message. Successful posters show how people are kind to animals.
A slogan, title or catch phrase can also contribute towards making the message clear.
Enter in one of the four categories:
* Category one: Grades One and Two.
* Category two: Grades Three, Four and Five.
* Category four: Grades Six and Seven.
* Category five: Special needs schools (no grades).
Get creative and draw or paint colourful and original posters depicting the theme: “Animals Can Count on Me!” in any medium (paint, pastel, crayon, ink), using A2 or A3 paper only.
On each entry, clearly print:
* Learner’s name and surname, entry category, grade and age.
* School’s name and contact details.
Send as many entries as you wish, but remember to send a R10 donation for each entry.
No cash, only bank deposits or electronic transfers are accepted. This small contribution is a way to help the AACL to continue caring for and protecting animals in need.
Send or deliver your poster(s) to: The Animal Anti-Cruelty League — Johannesburg Society, PO Box 7, Rosettenville, 2130, or 59 Alice Street, Regents Park, Johannesburg, by 31 October.
Fantastic prizes to be won:
* First prize in each category is R2 000.
* Second prize in each category is R500.
* Hundreds of merit prizes.
* The school with the most entries will win a Canon colour laser printer valued at R12 599.
Top 100 finalists’ posters will be exhibited on Facebook www.facebook.com/AACLJHB.
You can vote by liking your favourite posters.
First prize winners will be announced on Facebook.
