Wayne Alberts found dead in Kliprivier during February

Boksburg resident, Wayne Alberts, who went missing on February 14, has been found dead.

Gauteng SAPS communication officer, Lieut-Col Katlego Mogale said Albert’s body was discovered in a veld in Kliprivier on February 15.

Alberts’s parents were notified of their son’s death.

Alberts was last seen around 9.40pm in Madley Street, Boksburg North. He was on his way to his parents’ house when he went missing.

Two days later, three people were caught in the vehicle Alberts was driving by the Sunnyside police. A firearm, drugs and electric cables were allegedly found in the car.

The three suspects were arrested and charged with illegal possession of a firearm. They appeared in court on February 18, but the case was withdrawn for further investigation and the suspects were then released.

The Boksburg North Police detectives continued with the investigation of the two suspects who are now facing the charges including theft of motor vehicle, possession of unlicensed firearm , possession of stolen property and possession of illegal substance.

Alberts has left his wife and three daughters behind.

Further investigations are underway.
