Ex-Bafana player among the thugs arrested by EMPD
A former Bafana Bafana and Jomo Cosmos FC player was among the 10 men arrested by the EMPD Intervention Unit in Witfield, on April 8.

EMPD spokesman Kobeli Mokheseng said the men were planning to hijack a truck transporting cigarettes and two them wore a metro police uniform.
They were nabbed at different spots in Witfield and the EMPD also seized four cars during the arrests, a silver Toyota Corolla, a white Toyota Hilux, a silver Polo and a silver Toyota Etios.
It’s not for the first time that the player finds himself on the wrong side of the law.
He was arrested in October 2011 in connection with the hijacking of a lorry.
In February this year, the former Bafana Bafana player was among six men arrested by the Hawks in Ogies, Mpumalanga, after a foiled cash-in-transit heist.
A tracker signal jammer was also found in a vehicle belonging him at the time.
Despite his numerous runs with the law he has never been convicted.
The men are expected to appear in the Boksburg Magistrates Court today (April 9).
