Hunt on for Pep Store robbery suspects

Workers of the Pep clothing store branch on Commissioner Street, Boksburg CBD are being treated for shock after their encounter with a gang of gunmen on Monday, July 13.

This comes after four gunmen robbed the clothing store of R180 000 worth of goods and cash.

Spokesperson for the Boksburg SAPS, Sgt Kwendzakwakhe Ngobese confirmed the robbery, stating that the four armed men walked in the clothing store at about 4.30pm, yesterday (Monday, July 13).

Staff only noticed that something was amiss when the men produced firearms and demanded money.

The robbers then stole cash as well as 80 cellphones and fled the scene.

It is unclear whether the bunch of crooks fled on foot or in a waiting getaway vehicle.

No shots were fired and no one was injured in the incident.

No arrests have been made yet, but police are investigating a business robbery case.
