Take note of free vehicle testing in October

Free vehicle testing takes place during the month of October on all public transport vehicles and trucks with a gross vehicle mass of 3 500kg and more.

This is according to Themba Gadebe, metro spokesperson.

He said the free testing forms part of the metro’s programmes during Transport Month.

“These vehicles must be designed to transport 12 or more passengers, and include the likes of trucks, taxis, buses and scholar transport,” said Gadebe.

Vehicles can be taken to any of the metro’s active vehicle testing centres weekdays only from 8am to 3pm..

Below are stations that are ready to render the service across the metro.

Kempton Park (H Lewis Street, Spartan), Alberton (Bosworth Street, Alrode) and Springs (Diesel Road, New-Era).
