Watch: Boksburg model puts South Africa on the map at the Mister International pageant

The 23-year-old was crowned second runner-up with Columbia being in the first place and Korea crowned the winner.

Mr King South Africa 2017, Dwayne Geldenhuis, represented Boksburg and South Africa well at the Mister International 2018 pageant in Yangong, Myanmar recently.

Dwayne represented his country alongside finalists from across the world in the 12th edition of the Mister International.

Dwayne automatically qualified as a finalist in the pageant based on his Mr King success.

“I feel proud of the achievement. Throughout the pageant I stayed true to myself by remaining humble.”

“I certainly feel that I have put South Africa on the map,” Dwayne said.

He matriculated from EG Jansen in 2012 and works as a quality assurance supervisor.

The model is also studying towards a degree in architecture at African Academy.
