Be a sponsor of the Miss Boksburg pageant

The pageant provides an opportunity for young women to discover their strengths and weaknesses and to embrace their talents

The founder of Miss Boksburg, Faith Gounder, is inviting local businesses to become sponsors of the pageant that strives to promote beauty with a purpose while giving the models exposure to the film and advertising industry.

This seven-month pageant provides an opportunity for young women to discover their strengths and weaknesses and to embrace their talents, to gain self-confidence, leadership skills, interpersonal skills, social skills and communication skills, all necessary skills and attributes for future leaders to possess.

This self-awareness and self-discovery process assists our contestants to reach their short-term and long-term goals. Miss Boksburg is a pageant that aims to educate and raise awareness on prevalent social issues. All contestants are required to give back by engaging in a community service outreach.

This encourages toe contestants to be a part of something that is larger than themselves by making a long lasting and positive impact on society.

The Miss Boksburg event has grown substantially and has obtained different categories, which include Miss Toddler Boksburg, Miss Teen Boksburg, Miss Boksburg Queen and Miss Boodylicious Boksburg.

They mainly focus on females aged five to 25. The founder explained the organisation is soliciting sponsors in order for them to achieve their goal of making women of today realise true worth.

“Sponsorship is a major source of funding for many events as more and more companies have discovered this to be a more powerful tool. Building and strengthening your company brand through effective visibility is one of the key essentials in business strategy.

“To be effective, sponsorship of any event must serve toe following purpose. It must serve as the business interest of the sponsoring company. It must give a positive impact upon the sponsor’s direct customer. It must benefit the customer who uses the product or service. It must suit the desires and interests of the participants and event. Apart from this, we are capable enough to give desired publicity to the people becoming part of the pageant,” Faith said.

She provided several reasons why companies should be interested in becoming a sponsor:

Build your brand: “Showcase your company to corporate sponsors, distributors, publicists, agents and a diverse multicultural audience from South Africa.”

Market to your target audience: “Miss Boksburg will enable your company to showcase its brand in the marketplace to over 5 000 people. We plan to highlight your brand through various media, such as social media sites, print, newsletters and our website.”

Community initiatives and involvement: “Miss Boksburg is a unique opportunity to display your business and provide support to our winners with our charity work.  Our website (www.missboksburg.co.za) will further advertise our sponsors as we conduct our online contestant voting system for the Public’s Choice Award. Our website is already number one in a Google search after having only been online for one year now. This exclusive event is set to entertain, educate and celebrate while offering a unique environment to spotlight any company or its brand’s involvement.”

“Your company will also be published on our website and all social media platforms. Miss Boksburg contestants will be made available for promotional work for our major sponsors.”
