Local model features in Wit Skoene music video
The music video was shot entirely remotely and on a cellphone
The Advertiser caught up with the talented model Sinead Daniella, from Boksburg, to find out what she has been up to during the lockdown.
How did the pandemic affect your modelling career?
I have not been able to partake in any fashion shows due to Covid-19 and the social distancing aspect relating to the pandemic. But I have been fortunate to collaborate with Amical Photography and Zijn-Rudolph van Zyl with his Herbore collection.
Could you take part in any modelling competitions ever since the lockdown became a reality?
Unfortunately not.
Last year you were invited to participate in the International Modeling & Talent Association (IMTA) competition in New York. Will you still be able to compete in the competition?
The IMTA’s have been postponed until next year. Hopefully, I will still be able to compete.
You are also featured in a new music video. Can you tell us more about it?
I was approached by Loufi and Universal Musiek to feature in two of his music videos. Wit Skoene was shot entirely remotely and on a cellphone, making use of excellent editing skills, as well as Boude that was shot on location in Midrand.
Are there any behind the scenes anecdotes that you can share with us?
I never thought one could have enough cheese but I was proven wrong. It was quite a daunting task having the cameras on you while trying to eat the cheese without looking like a complete idiot.
What was the highlight of being part of the music video?
I had the privilege of working with Loufi, and through this process I have made quite a few friends.
Did you meet any interesting people while shooting the music video?
South African artist Kwesta arrived while filming the music video. The videographer Geoff Hookins made us feel at ease while filming and was a lovely person to meet.
How did you stay fit during the lockdown?
I would run with my dog and I did cardio training from home.
Did you discover any hidden talents during this time?
I have realised I might be a busybody. I cannot sit still and do nothing. I am constantly looking for something new to do. I started a marketing course as well as completing a micro-shading course, which will definitely be adding value to the services I offer at the beauty salon.
How did you keep yourself motivated during the hard lockdown?
Bible study was very important and to not let these things get me down.
If you could self-quarantine with any celebrity, who would it be?
Josh Duhamel.
What is the most important thing you learned during the lockdown?
To appreciate time spent with family and friends, and that nothing should be taken for granted.
Could you give us five interesting facts about yourself?
I am creative I am goal orientated and ambitious I always try to see the bright side to life. I love children. I have a passion for helping people become the best version of themselves.
What is next for Sinead?
I would love to further my knowledge in the beauty industry, which I am already involved in.
