New managers at Boksburg Correctional Services
The newly appointed senior managers have vowed to bring change within their respective departments
Boksburg Correctional Services has appointed two senior managers, effective September 1.
The Boksburg area commissioner, Henny Makhubela, and his board members have welcomed Piet Gama and Khili Mnisi.
Gama, who has service of 29 years and eight months, has been appointed as the head of the centre at Heidelberg Correctional Services, which falls within the Boksburg management area.

He will ensure that offenders are developed through correctional programmes until they are lawfully released.
Mnisi, who has service of 24 years and two months, has been appointed as the area coordinator corporate services.

His role includes ensuring all officials follow the correct ethical codes of the department, as well as ensuring that all those officials who will be training offenders are empowered with skills so that they will be able to do their work efficiently.
Makhubela highlighted that the two positions have been vacant since March.
“Both roles are crucial in ensuring that we continue with the business of the department – safe custody and rehabilitation of offenders in our city.
“Management wishes them success in their new roles,” Makhubela said.
