Lesufi “disturbed” by stabbing incident at Hoërskool Elspark

"It requires necessary investigation and swift action against all perpetrators."

The Gauteng Education MEC Mr Panyaza Lesufi is “disturbed” by yet another video footage depicting learners in school violence. In a statement released by the department this afternoon, it is stated that earlier today learners at Hoërskool Elspark in Germiston were allegedly involved in a fight, captured on a video footage, and that a learner was stabbed during this incident.

“We are not sure what might have sparked the fight, however this is strongly condemned. It requires necessary investigation and swift action against all perpetrators.” Lesufi is expected to visit the school today, November 17.
